Commercial Shopping Centre

To provide specialist rope access support for a large-scale atrium refurbishment within a live shopping centre, incorporating high-level silicone replacement works, fall protection, and post-work cleaning.

The project involved working across two large atrium with restricted access and ongoing public operations below. The replacement of approximately 1,800 linear metres of glass silicone joints required precision, consistency, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
Seasonal summer heat added an additional layer of complexity, demanding proactive planning to manage workforce welfare while maintaining programme efficiency.

Our team delivered a fully integrated rope access solution, supporting the atrium silicone replacement works and installing compliant fall protection safety netting throughout the project. Rope access techniques enabled safe, efficient access to complex high-level glazing and structural areas, reducing the need for extensive temporary access systems.
Working hours were strategically adjusted to early starts, with daily operations completed by midday to mitigate heat exposure while maintaining productivity. Upon completion of the glazing works, we carried out high-level internal steelwork cleaning to leave the atrium areas finished to a high standard.

The project was delivered safely, on programme, and to exacting standards within a live commercial environment. Effective planning, specialist access expertise, and close coordination with the client ensured minimal disruption to trading operations and a successful outcome, with the client highly satisfied with both delivery and finish.
